What is it all about? Who are these guys? Why do Jason and Christian look so perplexed in the mirror reflection? We should have it done within a few more days, so check back soon for the posted video on our site!

Movie Night Fun
October 8, 2007 | Filed Under News
We just wanted to take this moment to thank Thriving Artists and the 48 Hour Film Project (not festival as I continued to say it.) We really appreciate you having us at your monthly movie night at Mission City Coffee Roasting Company; it was a blast. Good fun indeed.
Also, thank you to everyone who came and supported us! Whether or not you knew us, we were glad that you showed up, stayed, and laughed at a few of our jokes (even if you were feigning laughter, we still count it as laughter.) Pictures courtesy of Evelyn Huynh.

Beyond Forever Studios Local Movie Night!
September 30, 2007 | Filed Under News
Jason and I have been invited to screen some of our movies at a local Independent Filmmakers Night in Santa Clara. We would love it if you could come out and join us! We’ll be showing about 11 of our short movies at the Mission City Coffee Roasting Company in Santa Clara, and best of all, it’s free! We hope you can make it!
-Christian and Jason

Independent Filmmakers Night
What:
Beyond Forever Studios will screen three recent 48 Hour Films their team have created, all of which won Audience Choice awards. In addition to these films and other amusements that the team wants to share, Jason and Christian will engage in a short Q&A and remain available to answer questions informally at the end of the evening.
Where:
Mission City Coffee Roasting Company
2221 The Alameda, Santa Clara, CA
When:
Tuesday Oct. 2, 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Why:
Because this is an excellent opportunity to meet the team that has amused audiences in both San Francisco and San Jose. Because it’s a wonderful chance to meet other filmmakers from the area. Because now that those of you who just made 48 Hour Films have had a chance to catch your breath, this will be an excellent place to start daydreaming about what you’ll create next year. Because you can get excellent sandwiches and salads at Mission City, and the coffee is good. Because the first Tuesday of every month at Mission City seems like a great way to stay in touch with the local community of filmmakers and media producers. Because it’s a Tuesday night in October, and this is the best place you could be. Because …you fill in the reason…
Thriving Artists is a South Bay association of performing artists committed to the principle that artists can thrive. In addition to the monthly Independent Filmmakers’ Night, Thriving Artists also sponsors and hosts a weekly Open Mic night at Mission City on Wednesday nights as well as The Listening Circle open venue performance evening on Thursdays in Saratoga. Thriving Artists also offers a series of workshops for songwriters, vocalists, and performing artists.
The San Jose 48 Hour Film Project is a community association committed to empowering independent filmmakers with a strong sense of adventure. Through alliances with community, business, and civic leadership, we provide a stage upon which the voices of spirited independent film and media producers can be fully unleashed. Talent in all areas of the filmmaking craft are honored for exceptional work, and alliances are formed that give rise to a wealth of expression in film and media from communities everywhere.

Love Spread – Awards!
August 27, 2007 | Filed Under News
The results are in! Love Spread, our Romance movie made for the 48 Hour Film Festival, took home 3 awards on awards night, August 20th! We couldn’t be happier. Our little movie was awarded the following:
- Audience Favorite Award (for the 2nd night of movies)
- Best Use of Landmark
- Honorable Mention for Best Film
It was just great to get such a positive response from the audience, but to also receive any awards is equally gratifying especially since there were so many other great movies. This now makes our third Audience Favorite Award (one for each 48 Hour movie we’ve made). But we are also excited to have received honorable mention for Best Film! Very cool stuff.
We couldn’t have done it without the help of our friends and family, so here they are:
Sharon Salazar, Evelyn Huynh, Angie Higgins, Tom Shamrell, Drew Campbell, Andrew Lorenz, and Carrissa Wilson. Thank you all so much! And now, if you haven’t seen it yet, here is Love Spread!
