San Jose 48 Hour Film Project 2009
August 18, 2009 | Filed Under News, Production Updates
Another year, another 48 Hour Film Project! That’s right, Beyond Forever Studios is at it again. This year, our requirements were:
Genre: Holiday Film
Character: Zach (or Zelda) Alexandar – an exterminator
Line of Dialogue: “Tell me again why this matters.”
Prop: Piece from a board game
We had 48 hours to write, direct, film, and edit our movie with little to no preparation. Our major location that we secured was taken away at the last moment before filming, so we had to scramble to find a new one. Talk about challenges! Overall, I’m very happy with how it turned out. Our movie is being screened on Thursday, August 20th at 7:00PM. Here are the details:
Date: Thursday, Aug 20
Time: 7:00pm (Group C)
Place: Camera 12 Cinemas, 201 South Second Street, San Jose, CA
Tickets: $10.00 (Purchase them here…)
Notes: Find online ticket sales under Special Events. Advanced ticket purchase is recommended in case of a sell out.
We’ll have the movie up on our site shortly! Hope to see you at the screening!

It’s finally complete! After months and months of work, Jason has finished his feature length mockumentary. In this epic “behind the scenes” adventure, we follow the exploits of a young filmmaker as he sets out to make a movie just like Stephen Sommers. What ensues is a mess of issues involving problem actors, crappy dialogue, and funny situations! Check out Sommersault!

Movie Night Fun

We just wanted to take this moment to thank Thriving Artists and the 48 Hour Film Project (not festival as I continued to say it.) We really appreciate you having us at your monthly movie night at Mission City Coffee Roasting Company; it was a blast. Good fun indeed.
Also, thank you to everyone who came and supported us! Whether or not you knew us, we were glad that you showed up, stayed, and laughed at a few of our jokes (even if you were feigning laughter, we still count it as laughter.) Pictures courtesy of Evelyn Huynh.
